  1. In replying Navi's comments about being cruel to eat shark fins. I don't think Navi is 100% correct. Some facts as follows:
    1. The Chinese has the culture of not being wasteful. They eat almost everything from " head to tail ". They don't just take the fins. They eat the meat as well.
    2. If it is not a problem of eating chicken feet and wings, it is not a problem of eating the shark fins.
    3. It becomes a problem when some fishermen are paid too well on the shark fins and do not want the cheaper shark meat. Yes it is cruel to cut the shark's fin and then throw the shark back to the sea.(and should be discourage)
    4. In short, the eater should not be penalised, but instead, we should look at the improving the fishing process.
    5. Also this video is about a vintage but economical soup called "imitate shark fin soup". There is NO shark fin involved. This "imitate shark fin soup" was very popular in the 1960s-70s in Hong Kong when hawkers were allowed to sell hot food in the streets.

    Also thanks Gobby for sharing her knowledge. Now I know the water chestnut powder is the difference as I always used corn starch in the past.

  3. this linda sure is a scumbag!!!!! i mean like, hey! i'm chinese too and i dont understand mandarin fluently but the least i could do is shut up n' pay every details of attention to what the person is doing.

  5. 我覺得你可以試下加埋啲浸花菇的水落去個湯底到,因為個湯既味會再香啲㗎!我媽媽整過,超好味^^所以你下次試下啦。
