  1. no way in hell you can sear that steak then put into an oven for that long and still get medium rare. The steak is definitely cooked to shit and grey in the middle that's why there's no shot of it being cut open. With steaks of that size, searing alone can get to medium rare.

  2. A million different opinions…..which means everyone obviously had their own ways…..but yet insulted others for doing it different… typical assholes

  3. Well forgot one important thing……. To cut the meat in two so we could se if it was actually rara/medium rare

  4. LADIES AND GENTLEMAN DO NOT DO THIS HE IS BURNING THE OLIVE OIL DO NOT FRY WITH OLIVE OIL AT THESE TEMPS IT WILL RUIN THE FLAVOR

  5. Why most of the cooks cook with olive oil? Don't they know that the olive oil is for salads, and when heated becomes toxic? What's wrong with coconut oil or non-processed lard?

  6. I'm sorry but I can't take this video seriously if you're using olive oil for a dry cooking method and can't leave your steak to sear for a few min. without touching it -___-

  7. I live in an apartment with an extremely sensitive smoke alarm and to cope I take my air circulator and place it in on the ground directly facing the smoke detector. It's like when I set the smoke alarm off when I was young and stood under the detector waving a pillow back and forth. The fan keeps the hot air away from the detector so I can keep on cooking. I suggest cracking a window/door/etc. to help ventilate the smoke.

  8. Finishing a steak in the over is a lazy man's solution. It takes away so much of the moisture and only people who don't bother figuring out the perfect temperature to fully cook inside without completely burning outside

  9. The pan is for searing. The oven is for slow cooking. Why have the oven so hot? It makes the oven unnecessary.

  10. never bring oil to its smoking point. it is toxic to breath in and you're creating free radicals. if it smokes dump anything in the pan.
