12:52 – I currently have a personal training business that is thriving, a 12 week digital workout guide online, and my third mode of income will be a studio with signature classes. As far as branding goes, how do I build my brand without paying a PR company?
16:35 – How did you choose the fitness professional that is coaching you?
24:11 – I used to offer individual fitness plans but ran into trouble scaling after my business took off. What are the pitfalls of a video course instead?

Gary Vaynerchuk builds businesses. Fresh out of college he took his family wine business and grew it from a M to a M business in just five years. Now he runs VaynerMedia, one of the world’s hottest digital agencies. Along the way he became a prolific angel investor and venture capitalist, investing in companies like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Uber, and Birchbox before eventually co-founding VaynerRSE, a M angel fund.

The #AskGaryVee Show is Gary’s way of providing as much value value as possible by taking your questions about social media, entrepreneurship, startups, and family businesses and giving you his answers based on a lifetime of building successful, multi-million dollar companies.

Gary is also a prolific public speaker, delivering keynotes at events like Le Web, and SXSW, which you can watch right here on this channel.

  1. #QOTD
1)My last post was on April 5th
2)I always post adding value, if not I do not post. That is why I post so very often
3)I do what I do, because I want to be the best. I do not do much though, I work out every day, as hard as I can. I eat as healthy as I can. I work as hard as I can, which is not working at the moment, and will work harder than anyone to change it ASAP. I also study business to understand more and have some theoric ground.

Thank yoy for what you do Gary!

  2. @20:20 the guy in the background is trying super hard to be noticed eating a banana, but obviously hasn't learned from Gary how to eat one! Lol

  3. 1) I just posted on Instagram about an hour ago but I've been slacking on IG since February so Mike don't feel too bad. Follow me @rappergeek
    2) I try to share nothing but valuable, uplifting content. If it's not positive I try not to post it unless it's entertaining. I would say I don't really post enough about myself honestly
    3) I do what I do because I want to make an impact on people. I want to matter. I want to hear someone say that my content, stories, books, etc made an impact on someone's life, day week, month what ever. Thanks for the value

  4. Great content. Came here from seeing you on RSD Max's snapchat. If anyone hasn't heard of RSD take a look, there is some amazing information among the RSD instructors.

  5. 1. This morning @coachjenrulon
    2. I put together a Ironman Texas Free Webinar last night and I uploaded it to YouTube, shared it via SnapChat and FaceBook today. Ironman Texas is this weekend.
    3. I want to educate and inspire athletes during their Ironman Triathlon or 70.3 Ironman Triathlon Journey.

  6. #QOTD
    1. yesterday
    2. I do feel that the next thing i am going to post will be valuable (I have the picture set already)
    3. I do what I do (makeup and beauty) because I want everyone to feel beautiful and confident in their own skin whether its with makeup or not. I believe confidence is so important.

  7. Gary, your initial comment is spot on. It IS a mindset shift. But Natalie Jill backed up the comment well. People have paralysis by analysis. There is SOOO much information that people get overwhelmed and aren't sure WHAT to do with the conflicting information. We are the only industry that continues to grow each year while our biggest indicator (obesity rates) continue to grow. We are failing and growing at the same time. So I call BULLSHIT on anyone who says they can't create content. We are failing. HELP ONE PERSON. 1>0 Have a kick ass day everyone.

  8. Love how Gary was genuinely disappointed when Mike revealed he had only posted once in 2 weeks on Instagram!

  9. I think its all well and good keep referring to "content" as the solution and of course it is, however In Natalie's case ( haven't heard the dudes speak yet ) i think it was how she emotionally "connected" to here audience from the begining that was key. she went through a stage of crisis divorce, put on weight as a result which most women can relate to and fear of there being a possiblilty. This was a hook immediately, so to then follow through and get back on track after that, is what i think most of Natalie's audience champion and want to be a part of.

  10. 1. When was the last time you posted on Instagram? Last time I posted was yesterday which was sunday. and I have one planned for today.

    2. The next time you post to social media- ask yourself- does it add value? Is it
something that's going to make people feel encouraged, motivated, or
care? Is it something they'll want to share? I always design and post only things that I feel others can relate to and things that I like. I tend to always think about what I want to post many times over.

    3. Why do you do what you do? I do clothing and blogging for personal and helping reasons. I do the blogging to spread the word about an artist or a movie or whatever topic I am touching on. I do the clothing to help get over depression and also be creative and express myself. I always want to be creative and find different ways to express myself. I always want my designs to be a part of me as well as touch other people.

  11. Great episode, and great questions at the end! I think Mike hit a great point about asking "why" you're posting this content before you do. I run 2 pages, my own personal fitness/entrepreneurship page (@jaybedreamin) and then my business page(mobile app dev company) (@permoveo). I try to post consistent content that's relevant to my target audience and that provides value to anyone following rather than just noise. I agree that each post should be meaningful, and have a clear message behind it. I've definitely been slacking on the frequency of posts on my business page, but this video has motivated me to get back to it! Thank you guys

  12. At episode 203 I realize that I don't continue watching mostly because of the information inside but because of gary himself.
