  1. Simpler way: put a drizzle of olive oil on the pan, once it's hot put the steak, after around 4 minutes give a turn, put a good amount of thick salt (on the seared side), wait around 4 more minutes, or until juice starts coming out of the top (you'll notice how the salt starts to melt on the juice). Put it out, let it rest and enjoy. No need to add more olive oil, not even need to add pepper (but pepper is perfectly fine if that is of your like). Never use thin salt, it will make the meat dry. And preferably don't turn it over a thousand times :)

  3. The way he uses olive oil is just offensive. Everything in Oliver's cooking is utterly soaked in olive oil. Is this man serious? What a joke.
