How To Make Compost Tea The Easy Way

Thought I would share with all of you how I make compost tea in a five gallon bucket. Compost tea is one of the best ways to feed your plants and also the soil they grow in as your adding millions of beneficial micro organisms into the soil. Below is a link to my video showing the effect this compost tea has on plants…

  1. My parents use to make a mixture they called Texas tea, it contained horse, cow and goat and pig manure. They filled a 55 gal drum 1/3 the way with the manure mixture and filled it up with water. We lived in Nevada so they let it sit for a year and it boiled naturally. The following growing season they used it in out vegetable garden instead of store bought plant food and we had the best garden in town.

  2. Hey did you leave it outside over night? I was reading that it needs a contant temp but I would rather do it outside

  3. @ 3:09 you say you use 1/3 tea in the bucket then you say you use 2/3 tea in the sprayer…… Do you use 2/3 tea beacuse of the the leaf spray.

  4. That synthetic nylon might not be the most eco friendly and / or organic approach. Maybe some non bleached cheese cloth from non gmo cotton would be a bit better? May be hard to find locally in some areas though. Idk just a thought

  5. While I appreciate the video, I'm wondering if its really worth the time and effort. I'd really like to see some kind of a field trial. Something simple like growing veggies in a really good soil with and without the tea then comparing results.

  6. Hi,

I am a new gardener and want to try your compost tea, but I would like to know where I can get your pump and the what it's called? TY-NM
