    Why not just heat the water until warm?
    And of course European recipes are notoriously finicky. This is why they measure everything so precisely: like a high school lab experiment. If you're off by so much as a gram or a milly-leeter, the result can be disastrous.
    Plus, I'm an American so I measure in ounces. Lots more latitude for error.

  6. Instead of this hydrometer crap & weighing out sugar(for people who do not have these items)..Just provide us a specific brand & a specific amount of sugar & yeast for a specific amount of grape juice for whichever brand you choose.

  8. I've watched it a couple of times, and can't seem to pinpoint at what time the boiled 300ml of sugar water is added? With the 4L of grape juice (step 7) during primary fermentation or in the demijon at secondary fermentation (step 14)?
