As long as you make the sale quick and easy for the salesperson at the dealership, they will be more than happy to negotiate a small amount over the invoice price on a new car. If they refuse, you can simply go to another dealership or to another salesperson and present them with the same offer. Since the same new cars are available at every dealership within the same make, you can pretty much go to any salesperson and someone will definitely be willing to do this type of deal with you. I have used this car sales strategy with many family members and friends, and it has worked every time!
