Firstly, you will want someone who is extremely knowledgeable as a guitarist. But its also vital that their method of tuition is right for you. You need a teacher who can help you to develop a deep underlying approach to how to play guitar, rather than just teaching you to play a few tunes.
So — if you are to learn how to play guitar – make sure you take steps to keep your inspiration and motivation topped up, resist the temptation of information overload, and make sure that you find the right teacher. Provided you follow this advice you stand every chance of becoming successful learning how to play guitar.
