  1. I want to thank you so much for this tutorial. Just made my first pair of pants using these instructions and they fit perfectly!!

  2. what an idea, show the measurements on screen in sub-titles. Isn't it sister……. thanks to me…….. many will benefit and won't ask questions……. too good….

  3. Hello, I am not sure what you meant from point 1 towards point 2 apply 1/4?
Do you meant the diamension divided 2, than adding 1/4? This will bring the back wider than the front? I draft my own pattern for skirts, blouses and dresses, and I have no experience in Pants. Would like to start learning how to make a pant and would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

  4. Thank you so much for this tutorial! 🙂 I have the same question, how you got the measure for point 9 and 10 please.

  5. Hello, I went to the "Wonder How To" site and copied the instructions.  I noticed in the comment section that one of the commenters made some additions (that I don't totally understand), but can you tell me if her additions are correct or necessary.  Here they are:
    some additions:
step 2.7: mark the new point 16
step 2.12: point c is not yet defined here. I gather it must be where 5-6 and 11-12 intersect.
step 2.13: point b is not yet defined here. I gather it must be where 5-6 and 9-10 intersect.
step 3.5: is this line running in or out?
step 3.8: mark the new point 23

  6. Thanks for the quick response fettuccinetube.  I notice you have another pants drafting tutorial that has several parts to it, and it is about 5 years old.  Are these two different ways of doing the pants, should I use the old one and this new one OR just use this new one in conjunction with Wonder How To?

  8. Can someone tell me how to see what the instructor is doing?  I can't see the drawings she is making, I am probably missing something lol

  9. I really liked your vid. very detailed. I followed you as you went along. as you were writing, I was writing : ) I mainly just use my kids clothes as my pattern but its nice to have a pattern of your own that you can alter any way you like. nice Job.

  10. Its odd seeing my curves drwan out flat, I admit I am not used to it, so when I saw how large my back crotch measurment came out to I just assumed I was doing it wrong.
(Oops I made a mistake when I said 83.5cm was my waist measurement it is infact my hip. )
I will try a mock up with the calculations I have and I'll see where it gets me.
I am greatful for your videos and instructions on pattern drafting, thank you for your reply!
