  1. What frustrates me about these salsa videos is the man's lead. There's a subtle move where the man uses his fingers to signal to the woman that "something is coming". It makes all the difference in the world to be a good leader, and if the lead is not strong enough, it's easy for the lady to get confused. I thought I knew what I was doing, but when another man broke it down and showed me what that felt like, I was absolutely stunned. They do NOT show you this in those one hour classes at the nightclub. I wish there was a better way to show this subtlety in these YT videos.

  2. Thank you. I teach Salsa and I sent this to my beginners because it was the most clear and concise video  I found in about 20 reviewed so thank you. I stressed that there were always small differences in how everybody teaches and I will mention a few not to criticize but just share my approach. The written text mentioned that stepping on the 2 and 5 were just weight shifts but actually watching you, you are picking up your feet slightly which I always stress b/c I want beginners to step everything out to help with their timing knowing that good dancers will fudge it without losing count. Rather than just pivoting on the ladies 6 I suggest picking up and putting down the R foot. One other thing I try to present the 4 and 8 not as holds, true you dont step on them but your foot should be moving in mid air so your movement is smooth. Small points, I thought I'd share, but thank you for sharing your wisdom and time in an excellent video.
