VERY EASY crochet cardigan / sweater / jumper tutorial - baby and child sizes

This video is a detailed step by step tutorial on how to crochet a baby / child’s cardigan, sweater or jumper. This cardigan is suitable for beginners and can be made with either long or short sleeves.

For my cardigan I used a 5mm crochet hook, Drops Big Merino yarn and US terms.

-For 0-6 months use a 5mm crochet hook
-For 6-12 months use a 5.5mm crochet hook
-For 1-2 years use a 6mm crochet hook
-For 2-3 years use a 6.5mm crochet hook
-For 3-4 years use a 7mm crochet hook
-For 4-5 years use a 7.5mm crochet hook

Thank you very much for watching! x

  1. This is my first cardigan and it's AWESOME! I've tried so many (not very good at crocheting, usually I just knit) but you're the first I've found that explained so well and detailed, I love it. Thank you so much, I subscribed and I can't wait to do all of the other kiddy stuff from your channel. :))) Please never stop uploading these, you're pure gold

  2. Please provide the number of double crochets that you should have at the end of each round – specifically the first round.

  7. I love your pattern!! Is there a place that I can get a written pattern of this crochet cardigan and more of your patterns. Thank you for your amazing work and videos.

  8. Is there a written pattern for this sweater? I am working on my third sweater and it would be nice to have the written pattern so I don't need to watch the video for each one. I love this pattern and how very easy the tutorial is to follow. Great job! Thank you!

  9. Made two of these one in blue as it's a boy and one in grey and the row of star stictch in cream as they don't know what the other one is. I also made your knotted beanie/ hat and rolled topped booties to go with them. Love this cardigan as its still simple to make but the row of star stitch in a contrasting colour gives it a nice touch

  10. thanks for the tutorial, I will be using this as my go to baby cardigan pattern, hands down the nicest one I have tired . really lovely with the shoes and hat for a cute little baby shower set xxx I sat and hooked this one up in a morning x

  11. on row 2 of attaching the sleeve you turned the work and insert the hook on the inside of the sleeve, does it make a difference if you dont turn the work and keep working on the outside and go in the same direction ?
